License to use

PounceApps grants you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use PounceSQL on macOS devices you control, for personal or business use. You may not sell it, or remove or alter its notices.

Your data & databases

PounceSQL runs on your Mac and connects to databases you choose. You are responsible for your credentials, for the queries you run, and for the data you access. The AI assistant and MCP tools are read-only by default; non-SELECT statements run only if you enable them. Test against a non-production database before using PounceSQL against anything you care about.

Third-party AI providers

If you enable AI, your prompts and context are sent to the provider you configure (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, your organization's gateway, or a local model). Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies. PounceApps does not control or assume responsibility for third-party providers.

Acceptable use

Use PounceSQL lawfully. Do not use it to access systems or data you are not authorized to access, to violate any law or third-party rights, or to attempt to disrupt any service.

No warranty

PounceSQL is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. It is under active development and may contain errors.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PounceApps and Steven S. Sparks will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of PounceSQL — even if advised of the possibility. Because the software is free, total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it (which is nothing).

We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it. Questions? Reach us via GitHub Discussions. See also our Privacy Policy.
